Evaluating irises the way accredited AIS iris judges do is a fun way to understand what differentiates an award-winning cultivar from other introductions and to become a more discerning iris collector. It is also an ideal time to explore ways to give back to the iris community through outreach, hybridizing, volunteer work, leadership, or entering the Judges Training Program.
