"Discovering Your Soil," describes methods the Broley Homestead uses to ensure their perennial iris grow in a suitable substrate. We are pleased to share our experience with research-based agricultural practices that maintain soil fertility, and benefit future generations.

Attendees will receive gift irises and samples of sustainable horticultural growing media. For example, coconut coir, parboiled rice hulls, locally sourced arborist mulch, and pelletized wool waste.

This public event is a collaboration between the Charlotte Iris Society, and iris farm the Broley Homestead.
