Broley Homestead

We offer perennial iris as container plants. Selections draw from over 1200 named varieties and include many classifications:

• Bearded Iris all hardy in USDA zones 3-10

  • Tall Bearded: over 27 inches tall with flowers 4 to 7 inches wide,

  • Border Bearded (BB): 16 to 27 inches tall with flowers 4 to 5 inches wide, 

  • Miniature Tall Bearded (MTB): 16 to 27 inches tall with flowers less than 6 inches combined width and height,

  •  Intermediate Bearded (IB): 16 to 27 inches tall with flowers 4 to 5 inches wide,

  • Standard Dwarf Bearded (SDB): 8 to 16 inches tall with flowers 3 to 4 inches wide,

  • Miniature Dwarf Bearded (MDB): up to 8 inches tall with flowers 2 to 3 inches wide.​​

• Beardless Iris

  • Siberian (SIB): 24 to 48 inches tall with flowers 1 to 2 inches wide, hardy in USDA zones 3-8,​

  • Japanese (JI): 24 to 48 inches tall with flowers 1 to 2 inches wide, hardy in USDA zones 4-9,

  • Louisiana (LA): 28 to 71 inches tall with flowers 5 to 6 inches wide, hardy in USDA zones 6-9,

  • Species crosses (SPEC-X): variable in height, flowers, and hardiness.
